By UP FLCD Practicumer Teacher Madz Galang

This art activity was introduced through a storytelling of “Naku, Nakuu, Nakuuu!” by Nanoy Rafael and illustrated by Sergio Bumatay III. It is about Isko, an only child, and his worries about himself once his new sibling is born. He meets different people in his community and asks each one of them. Isko expresses his recurring worry through “Naku, nakuu, nakuuu!” , which the class says with Teacher Madz. Eventually, he becomes happy about getting a brother or sister and rushes home to his nanay.

Following a memorable storytelling on “Naku, Nakuu, Nakuuu!” in which the Kinder class was able to predict that Isko is getting a younger sibling, the children made artworks on what the children do with their families, especially their siblings. The Kinder class enjoyed the story and the activity so much, they still say “Naku, nakuu, nakuuu!” randomly afterwards.
