The Preschool A Classroom transformed into a mini jungle as the little ones tried out T. Hana’s first Teacher-Made Material last August 1, 2013. Borrowing the theme of Eric Carle’s book, Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?, the Preschoolers roared, quacked, meowed, barked, and chirped, as they listen to T. Hana’s storytelling.
It all happened after Rest Time, when the children gathered back to their spots on the mat. T. Hana starts off by asking them to give out an example of an animal. Little did they know, she was already prepping everyone up for her surprise! One by one, the children tried on their black aprons with animal cutouts which were all secured by the teachers. They were instructed to stand-up in front everytime their animals are called. Each would have to tell the class what kind of sound he or she makes, and what he or she is capable of doing.
Everyone was given a chance to try out their costumes. Since only eight aprons are available, some of the children had to wait for their turn. But that is not a problem for our generous jungle juniors!
At the end of the day, all the junior animals found out that each of them makes different sounds, does different things, and has different colors, but they can still get along as friends.
