The Sparrows and Mockingbirds learned another game last August 18 when Teacher Dani brought her teacher-made material, the Hopscotch Mat.

After reading The Foot Book by Dr. Seuss, Teacher Dani told the children that they were going to play hopscotch. She demonstrated to the class how to do it.

The children jumped with both feet.

And they tried to jump with one foot.

Help your children develop their jumping skills! Here are some activities you can do at home:

  • Stretch your arms and legs then do some jumping jacks in the morning.
  • Play games that involve jumping like hopscotch, skipping, etc.
  • Pretend to be frogs, kangaroos or rabbits and jump around while making animal sounds.
  • Jump up and down to the tune of your favourite party songs.
